The 2017 California Counseling Association (CCA) “BUILDING BRIDGES, Creating Community Today for Tomorrow” Conference intends to bring together counseling professionals statewide to highlight and share best practices for working with unique and most vulnerable populations of people in their communities throughout California. In the spirit of our conference theme we have partnered up with the School-Based Family Counseling Program at Cal State Los Angeles to start this collaboration to build a stronger, more united, and well informed community of helping professionals across all counseling specializations. We welcome proposals that showcase creativity and innovation to strengthen our professional scope of practice within counseling specializations to support diverse communities impacted by fear, uncertainty and instability.
All proposals must be submitted online.
Accepting programs in all areas of specialization.
Sessions are 75 minutes in length and formats include:
- Educational/Research: presented in a lecture format
- Panel discussion: two or more panelists to lead a discussion on a shared topic
- Interactive workshop: an in depth discussion and activity
